Kanji Tattoo Designs

Kanji tattoos are pretty popular amongst those who are tattooed. They're fairly simple designed tattoos, and can range from different languages. Usually, though, you'll see Kanji symbols in terms of Chinese and oriental characters.

The one big thing that you want to consider when you get a kanji tattoo is that the characters mean what you think they mean. It's recommended that you check with someone who fluently speaks and writes the language of choice.

Dragon Tattoo Designs

Dragon tattoos are far and wide in terms of their design and meaning. Each tattoo is different even if two people pick the same tattoo off of the same flash. Each tattoo artist will put their own swing to the tattoo, with the customers wishes, mind you.

But, for the most part the most common dragon tattoos are chinese dragons and tribal dragons. Oriental dragons are those that are benevolent and represent strength, whereas the western dragon is the malicious, evil bearing dragon.

Different people get dragon tattoos for different reasons.

UV Tattoo Designs

UV tattoos are fairly new to the tattoo market. Some find they are unhealthy, whereas others find them just like other tattoos. UV tattoo ink has not been approved by the FDA, so you want to get black light tattoos with caution. Below, you'll find a link that will provide pictures, designs, and health information in regards to black light ink tattoos.

Black Light Ink Tattoo Pictures, Health, & Designs

Remember that all the information that I provide, is all from a personal standpoint with real statistics and data to back it up. I will admit that I have looked into black light tattoos, but I have decided to wait until the ink has been approved by the FDA. Otherwise, you risk infection, rash, and a poor tattoo. Many people have found their tattoos to turn brown.

Talk to your tattoo artist and ask his opinion. Some refuse to use the ink, whereas others don't care.

Star Tattoo Designs

First off, I want to say there has been a transfer of admin to this blog. I am the new owner and writer on Body Mods and Modifications. The previous admin, had had her fill of the body modification blog.

I want to go over star tattoos just a little bit. I'll be brief. Star tattoos are pretty popular today, whether they are the average nautical star, shooting star, or still star picture.

Each star tattoo will have a meaning of its own for each person, but in general different stars have different meanings. Shooting stars can represent shooting for your goals and aspirations. Nautical stars can represent protection and guidance.

You may chose the design and type of star by the number of points and the direction of the star. Choose your tattoo wisely, as for the most part, it will be with your forever.

Make-Up

Since body modifications include anythign that modifies your body, would you consider makeup as a temporary body modification?

I don't think it would be considered a modification because all that it's doing is covering blemishes and facial flaws. But, I could see where it may be considered a modification.

Like colored contacts, they're modifying the color of your eye, but it's temporary. When you take out the contacts, you remove the color.

No one said that a body modification has to be permanent.

What do you think?
